TOP 5: Gigalicious.

When someone asks me what music I’m into, I don’t know what to say. Generally speaking, I lean towards lo-fi, melodic arty rock, often featuring handclaps and ‘la la la’ breakdowns. Having said that, the last gig I went to was N-Dubz, with my boyfriend and his younger sister. Most of the crowd was about a decade younger than me, and there was a lot of squealing. All snobbery aside, though, I really enjoyed it (as did my camera) – there is clearly still a place in my heart for gigs where there is a greater emphasis on theatrics than the actual music.

1. A radiant Dappy, from the aforementioned N-Dubz gig.

2. Essay Like Nephew recently broke up, and I’m still sad.

3. A sea of waving hands.

4. One of N-Dubz’ support acts.

5. Ladyhawke, Nottingham 2009.
